With women comprising 23% of our workforce, we aim to shatter barriers and redefine leadership opportunities for women in hospitality. Programs like Shakti at Hilton empower women to embrace their inner strength, fostering confidence and encouraging career growth. These initiatives resonate deeply with our team members, resulting in a more inclusive and balanced workplace.

Inclusion of Differently-Abled Individuals

A pivotal step in our journey has been partnering with organizations such as Oceanik Education Society (OES), Sarthak, Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, and Youth4Jobs. These collaborations have enabled us to employ 25 differently-abled team members across Hilton Embassy GolfLinks and Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park, surpassing our initial goal of 15.

This year, we expanded our efforts through SAKSHAM, an initiative launched with Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park’s $5,000 “Travel with Purpose Grant.” This program sponsors 12 students from OES with financial aid to pursue inclusive pre-university and degree courses, paving the way for brighter futures. Additionally, eight new team members received offer letters, underscoring our commitment to meaningful opportunities.

To ensure a supportive environment, we’ve conducted sign language training for our staff, enhancing communication and promoting safety for all. These efforts exemplify our belief that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to thrive.

Celebrating Diversity Through Team Recognition

We celebrate the uniqueness of our team members through initiatives like the STAR Rewards program and the Catch Me program. These platforms allow peers, managers, and even guests to acknowledge outstanding hospitality and exceptional contributions. By incorporating QR code-based nominations, we’ve modernized the way we recognize talent, ensuring every achievement is celebrated and rewarded.

To ensure career progression, we conduct regular performance reviews, including 3 Box Talent Ratings and Mid-Year Check-Ins. Promotions are based on merit, ensuring that every individual has a clear pathway to success. Over the past year, these efforts have led to multiple promotions, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing internal talent.

Supporting Women in Leadership

Through initiatives like The Greenhouse, we mentor women for leadership roles, ensuring gender diversity is not just a statistic but a tangible reality in our management team. This year, as we celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we partnered with Oceanik Education Society to welcome 60 students to explore the dynamic world of hospitality. Through engaging activities and inspiring interactions, we showcased our dedication to creating opportunities for all.
